Acorn wouldn’t be the company that we are without the incredible team we have powering us. Each month we spotlight one of our employees, and this month we’re featuring David Dutton! David joined our team almost 6 months ago as a Project Manager and focuses specifically on our national signage program contracts.
David says it best when he talks about his favorite aspects of his job and why he loves working at Acorn!
“My favorite aspects of my position are the multiple challenges that I am faced with day in and day out – I am a problem solver by nature and having a large, nation-wide roll out program (LL Flooring) to tackle makes every day its own unique obstacle to overcome. Whether or not we are developing an app one day or figuring out the most efficient way to write hundreds of purchase orders the next, it is very fulfilling to be part of a team that is so focused on providing our customers with a positive experience.
I love working at Acorn because of the internal team that I get to work with on a daily basis – solving complex problems is a lot easier, and a lot more enjoyable, when you have a solid support system around you. Whether or not folks are working together in person, or working remotely as many are these days, Acorn has created an environment that fosters meaningful connections with one another, and those connections are what allow us all to achieve individual and team success.”
When David is at the office, he’s focused and extremely hard working, but he’s pretty laid back outside of the office! He loves spending time with his wife, Kaylee, their newborn daughter, Quinn, and his two crazy dogs, Ovie and Otto. He also says that whenever the Mrs. lets him sneak away, he loves reliving his glory days playing softball, pretending that he’s way better at golf than he is, or taking spontaneous trips to the lake.
Our team members are the heart of who we are, and we are SO thankful to have David as a part of our Acorn family!
