Acorn in Action: Quirk Hotel, Richmond

Acorn in Action: Quirk Hotel The Quirk Hotel is a boutique hotel located in downtown Richmond, and has become a Richmond icon in the hotel, art gallery and dining industries. Their building was built in 1916 as a dry goods store and is styled in an Italian Renaissance design. The Quirk Hotel maintained the original character of the building with the original hardwood floors, arches and columns in the lobby, while bringing style and charm to the iconic hotel. The Quirk Hotel features not only the main hotel, but also an art gallery, meeting rooms, a rooftop bar, restaurant, and a fitness center.

Acorn provided a wide range of signage throughout various spaces in the Quirk Hotel. We created the stylish and iconic external marquis that is now a recognizable staple on West Broad Street through Downtown Richmond. We also provided brass letter sets throughout the building to designate meeting rooms, gallery spaces and more. In addition to the brass letter sets, we produced architectural room numbers that are modern and inviting, as well as ADA compliant.

One of our greatest missions here at Acorn is to not only provide signage that is ADA and code compliant, but to create it in a way that is innovative, accessible and furthers the brand of our client. As a company based here in Richmond, Virginia, we enjoy partnering with local businesses and supporting the rich history of our city.
